Chairman, PetroFed and Chairman, IndianOil Shri Sarthak Behuria and Shri A. K. Arora, Director General, PetroFed welcomed the new Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri R. S. Pandey, IAS (1972, Nagaland), in his office when he assumed charge on August 1, 2008.

Shri Pandey, who was earlier Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, took charge of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas on the superannuation of Shri M. S. Srinivasan on July 31, 2008.

Shri Arora presented a brief on PetroFed to the Secretary and introduced the other key officials of PetroFed namely: Shri S. L.Das, Director (BD&C), Shri Y. Sahai, Director (Comm. & Mktg.) and Shri O. P. Thukral, Joint Director (Planning).  The PetroFed latest quarterly journal and report on ‘Workforce Sustainability and Talent Management in the Indian Oil & Gas Upstream Industry’ and the publications: Fuelling India’s Growth (Past Trends and Scenarios 2011-2012), Fuelling India’s Growth (Vision 2030) and The Green Imperative (Future of Natural Gas in India-2030) were also presented to the Secretary.

Besides being the Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Shri R. S. Pandey’s key earlier assignments include Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland and Joint Secretary in the Department of Education.  He has also held important positions like Advisor to Governor of Nagaland.
