PetroFed presentation on WTO matters relating to GATT and GATS for the Oil & Gas sector.

At the behest of the Special Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOP&NG) PetroFed organised on July 4, 2005 presentation for senior officials of the Ministry on WTO matters pertaining to the Oil & Gas sector. It included negotiations under General Agreement on Tariffs & Trade (GATT) and General Agreement for Trade in Services (GATS).

India 's suggested strategy for WTO negotiations pertaining to Oil & Gas was also brought out. The same had already been submitted to MoP&NG after detailed deliberations at PetroFed among member companies in May 2005.

The special Secretary and other officials of MoP&NG appreciated the presentation. The special Secretary also conveyed the appreciation of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry on the negotiating stand forwarded in May by PetroFed.
