In its series of Guest Lectures and Thought Leadership programmes, PetroFed organised, in association with IndianOil Institute of Petroleum Management, two lectures on "Safety as a Business drive in DuPont" by Mr. Roger Moore, President DuPont Safety Resources - Asia Pacific & on "Global Oil & Gas Industry - DuPont Experiences" by Shri Srinivasan R., Client Fulfillment Director - Asia Pacific and the Business Director ASEAN/India, DuPont Safety Resources, on December 06, 2005 at New Delhi. Mr. Roger Moore drew a blue print of the stakes involved in safety and its impact on diverse stakeholders. He elaborated on Duponts safety credentials and safety culture stages. He focused attention on safety as a safety driver by itself and demonstrated that “good safety is good business”.
Mr. Roger Moore has served in a multitude of senior executive assignments, which have brought him to all points of the globe. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Moore had served as President - DuPont ASEAN, Managing Director of DuPont Singapore & Vice President, DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers- Asia Pacific.
Mr. Moore graduated from Ohio State University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Finance. He is on the Board of Directors of the Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific, and a Director of various DuPont entities in Southeast Asia .
The other lecture was by Sh. Srinivasan Ramabhadran who leads engagements with several key clients for Dupont and has conducted several leadership workshops for leadership teams of several companies. He provided a brief on Dupont and elaborated on the major segments of safety, health and environment management. He stressed on the elements of behavioural safety and process safety and risk management. He also shared Dupont client experiences in safety.
