LNG Technology

Drawing upon his experience of over three decades in various countries of the world in oil & gas and LNG  Dr. S. Madhavan, former Global Director, Plant Services, Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Inc., Houston, USA gave a brilliant exposition on the key facets of ‘LNG Technology’ on August 9, 2010 at UPES, Dehradun under Petrofed’s series of Guest Lectures and Thought Leadership programmes.  Addressing members of the teaching faculty and students he also addressed issues of  LNG liquefaction, regasification, shipping and receiving terminals and future ‘Floating LNG Chain’, covering LNG floating plant and storage operations (FPSO).
Earlier Mr. G.C. Tiwari, Pro Vice Chancellor, UPES, Dehradun while complimenting PetroFed & Lovraj Kumar Memorial Trust for arranging the lecture said that with commercialisation of new gas discoveries and coming up of LNG terminals in the country, Natural Gas has emerged as the preferred source of clean energy and adopting the latest technologies will be essential for its optimum utilization.
