"Services Negotiations at the WTO"

 

In its series of Guest Lectures and thought leadership programmes – PetroFed  organised a lecture on 'Services Negotiations at WTO' by Sh. Amit Yadav, Director, Department of Commerce, Govt. of India on August 11, 2006 at New Delhi.

The lecture eminently brought out the importance of growing international trade among countries, particularly in the services sector, and focussed on the key aspects of GATS in the WTO context.  The various facets of WTO negotiations in the services sector, including details of the Hong Kong negotiations and the path forward, were brought out by Sh. Yadav.  Sh. Yadav is an IAS officer of the UT Cadre and is professionally qualified as a Bachelor of Law and an MBA.

Sh. Yadav was earlier welcomed by Director General, PetroFed, Sh. A.K. Arora and Sh. S.L. Das, Director (BD&C), PetroFed.  A vote of thanks was proposed by Sh. Y. Sahai, Director (Comm. & Mktg.).
