A CEO/top management luncheon interaction was organised with Mr. J. Robinson West, Chairman & CEO, PFC Energy, USA at New Delhi on June 11, 2009 during the latter’s short visit to India. Mr. J. Robinson West delivered a talk on "The View from Washington on Energy Policy and Geopolitics" providing an insider's report on Washington DC and the world in transition.
Mr. West dwelt on the US foreign policy and its goals for energy and the environment besides commenting on its relationship with Governments in some of the key hot-spots of the world.
Mr. West has earlier served as US Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Policy, Budget and Administration with responsibility for US offshore oil policy. He is a member of the National Petroleum Council and the Council on Foreign Relations of the US. He is widely quoted in the international media and contributes opinion pieces to leading international publications.
He was assisted during the interaction by his colleagues Mr. Michael Rodgers, Partner & Head of Asia and Mr. John Paisie, Partner and Head of the Downstream and Petrochemicals practice at PFC Energy.
