"National Seminar on Biofuels" |
A national seminar on ‘Biofuels – Need of the Hour’ was organised by PetroFed in association with member company and knowledge partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers on October 13, 2008 at the SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi. The national seminar was a follow-up on the International Symposium on Biofuels organised by PetroFed in September, 2007 wherein it had been decided that PetroFed would organise an international symposium every alternate year interspersed with a national seminar.
The seminar was inaugurated by Shri P. K. Sinha, Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and also addressed by Shri Virendra Gupta, Additional Secretary (ITP & ES), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The one day seminar had three key sessions and ended with a panel discussion by eminent experts. The sessions focused on bio-diesel and aviation biofuels, ethanol and pricing and regulatory issues.
