PetroFed Delegation meets Deputy Chief Minister, Bihar |
An industry delegation led by Chairman, PetroFed and Chairman, IndianOil, Shri R. S. Butola called on the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Sushil Kumar Modi on October 15, 2011 at New Delhi to felicitate him on his taking charge as Chairman of the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers. The members of the delegation included Vice Chairman, PetroFed and President (Refinery Business), RIL, Shri P. Raghavendran; CMD, GAIL, Shri B. C. Tripathi; Director (Finance), OIL, Shri T. K. Ananth Kumar; Group General Manager (F&A), ONGC, Shri A. K. Banerjee; Advisor, PetroFed, Shri S. V. Narasimhan and Director General, PetroFed, Shri A. K. Arora.
Industry members re-iterated their request for inclusion of oil & gas in the proposed GST scheme. It was stressed that the Constitutional Amendment should not exclude crude oil, petrol, diesel, ATF and Natural Gas.
Shri Sushil Kumar Modi gave a patient hearing and requested for a well documented paper. The Secretary to the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers, Shri Satish Chandra also gave his suggestions in the matter. |
