A comprehensive analysis of the evolving global economic environment since the Great Depression of the 1930s was presented by Dr. B. B. Bhattacharya, Distinguished Professor, IIM Lucknow and former Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University on August 19, 2011 at New Delhi.

India and China have survived the turmoil because of strong domestic fundamentals, he added while delivering the lecture on ‘Global Turmoil: Genesis & Consequences with special Reference to India' organised in its continuing series of Guest Lectures and Thought Leadership Programmes by PetroFed in association with GAIL (India) Limited.
