In its series of Guest Lectures and Thought Leadership programmes PetroFed organised a lecture on ‘India’s Energy Scenario : Invisible Barriers’ by Sh. S.K. Manglik, former CMD, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. at PetroFed Conference Hall on September 27, 2006.
Sh. Manglik, who is a doyen of the oil & gas industry with over four decades’ experience, succinctly traced the demand growth pattern for various forms of energy in India and provoked thinking among young managers. Drawing parallels from various studies on growth patterns he brought to fore the need for rapid development. He recommended decentralisation of power at various levels, more choices for customers through competition, use of technology to generate wealth, more attention to incremental capital output ratio, reduction of subsidies, and encouragement to those who deliver (the doers).
Sh. Manglik was earlier welcomed by Sh. S.L. Das, Director (BD&C), PetroFed.
