Energy Sector CEOs, Directors, Government Officials Conclave |
Key Executives from Government, CEOs, Directors and special invitees participated in an interactive session organised by PetroFed in knowledge partnership with BP India on July 28, 2008 at New Delhi when Mr. Christof Ruehl, Group Chief Economist for BP shared, during his visit to India, his thoughts on the world energy scenario, energy prices, etc.
The session was chaired by Dr. Kirit S. Parikh, Member, Planning Commission and significant observations were made by Shri Anil Razdan, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India. CEOs and senior Directors of almost all major players in the Indian oil & gas sector actively participated in the interaction which extended over lunch.
Mr. Christof Ruehl is a distinguished economist who analyses global economic development and their impact on energy markets and provides strategic inputs into BP’s activities, including the BP Statistical Review of World Energy which was released last month.
The session began with a floral welcome by Shri Anil Razdan, Secretary, Ministry of Power and Shri Sarthak Behuria, Chairman, PetroFed and Chairman, IndianOil to Dr. Kirit S. Parikh and Mr. Christof Ruehl respectively.
The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Kirit S. Parikh after a formal welcome by DG, PetroFed, Shri A. K. Arora. There was an intensive interactive session after a detailed presentation by Mr. Christof Ruehl.
