" 10th Governing Council Meeting " |
The 10th Meeting of the PetroFed Governing Council held at New Delhi on 9th February, 2006 welcomed Sh. Cherian N. Punnoose, Director (F), KRL and Sh. A.K. Girdhar, GM (NR), IBP as members of the Governing Council. The Governing Council placed on record the guidance and contribution of Sh. M.A. Mohammed Ali, Director (R), KRL and Sh. R.K. Malhotra, GM (NR), IBP during their tenure as members of the Governing Council.
In the absence of Chairman, PetroFed Sh. S. Behuria and Vice Chairman, PetroFed, Sh. P. Raghavendran, Sh. M.A. Pathan was requested by the members present to chair the meeting.
A presentation was first made by PwC on their report on Corporate Sustainability Reporting with particular reference to the oil and gas sector. The presentation by Dr. P. Ram Babu, Associate Director, PwC succinctly brought out the importance of triple bottom line reporting on social, economic and environmental parameters. The presentation drew benchmarks from major reporting organizations in the oil and gas sector and dwelt on the relevance of such reporting in terms of conformance to legislation, sustainability benchmarking, credit rating and financial investment.
The presentation was appreciated by the Governing Council members and a formal comprehensive report on the same is under preparation by PwC for submission to PetroFed member companies.
The Governing Council approved induction of six corporates as new members of PetroFed, namely. HLS Asia Ltd.; Total SA, Jubilant Oil & Gas Pvt. Ltd., Newsco Newtech Pvt. Ltd., Prize Petroleum Company Ltd. & Transocean Ltd.
The Governing Council approved the Revised Budget estimate for 2005-06 and the Original Budget estimate for 2006-07.
The Governing Council also recorded its deep appreciation of the work being done by the team at Petrofed .
