" 13th Governing Council Meeting "

 

The Governing Council of the Petroleum Federation of India at its 13 th meeting on July 20, 2007 welcomed the following five members of PetroFed inducted at the last meeting, namely M/s. Schlumberger Asia Services Ltd., Naftogaz India Pvt. Ltd., Shell India Pvt. Ltd., Cairn India Ltd., BP India Services Pvt. Ltd. They also welcomed admission of eight members approved by the Governing Council through agenda by circulation under the category ‘Ordinary Membership' namely, M/s. Axens, M/s. Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd., M/s. Chevron Petroleum India Pvt. Ltd., M/s. UOP India Pvt. Ltd., M/s. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd., M/s. PFC Energy, M/s. Mitsui Chemicals Asia Pacific Limited, and M/s. Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd.

The Governing Council also approved the induction of M/s. Adani Energy Ltd. under the category of ‘Ordinary Membership'. It was noted that the name of member company Caltex Lubricants India Ltd. had changed to Chevron Lubricants India Pvt. Ltd.

The Governing Council also re-coopted Shri M.A. Pathan as an Honorary Member for an additional term of three years.

The Governing Council approved the Annual Report and the Audited Accounts of the Society for 2006-07 for submitting them at the 6th Annual General Body Meeting for adoption by the General Body. The Governing Council also approved the proposal for appointment of M/s. Nath & Mahesh Associates as Statutory Auditors for 2007-08 for submission to the General Body at the AGM .

The Governing Council accorded its in-principle approval to the proposal of PetroFed Awards. A sub-committee of oil company officials was formed to review the awards criteria and parameters for submission to an Awards Committee for finalising the same. The awards for 2006-07 will be presented at a function during December 2007.

While taking note of the fact that an application will be made for institutional land at concessional rate to the DDA after the Society completes five years from the date of registration, the Governing Council also suggested looking into the possibility of acquiring space on ownership basis at other places.

The activities undertaken by PetroFed Secretariat were appreciated by the Governing Council and the forward plan was also approved.
