Challenges in Project Management

In its Learning & Education Series of thought leadership , PetroFed organised a lecture on ‘Challenges in Project Management' by Sh. Adesh Jain, President, International Project Management Association (IPMA) on April 21, 2005 at New Delhi .

Sh. Jain brought out that project management has almost established as a formal discipline which is borne out by the fact that the number of certified project management professionals has witnessed a 35 fold increase during the past decade. He dwelt on the latest developments in project management, the earned value management system, the project excellence model based on European foundation for quality management, the organization maturity model in measuring project management maturity, and the critical chain based project management.

The lecture was widely appreciated by professionals from member companies, invitees and persons from the academia. The participants were earlier welcomed by Sh. S.L. Das, Director (BD&C) and Sh. Adesh Jain was felicitated by Sh. M.A. Mohammed Ali, Director (Refineries) KRL and member of the Governing Council of PetroFed.
