In mid October 2004, Petroleum Federation of India (PetroFed) undertook the task of assessing demand of petroleum products with a view to provide inputs to the industry, policy planners, potential investors & various stake holders who are concerned with energy security & connected intimately with the growth of Oil & Gas Sector, for realising India's growth aspirations.
All members of PetroFed's planning committee associated actively in this complex exercise along with the experts from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe). The first publication of this study titled Fuelling India's Growth, Past Trends & Scenarios 2011-2012, was released in mid January 2005 coinciding with the Petrotech 2005 Conference & Exhibition held at New Delhi .
